Project Overview

The Good Neighbors Global Youth Program empowers vulnerable adolescents and young people to become confident, skilled, and economically independent leaders. Implemented in underserved communities of Delhi and Karnataka, the project supports youth in exploring career pathways, acquiring market-relevant skills, accessing higher education and employment opportunities, and actively participating in community development. Through career guidance, vocational and digital skills training, entrepreneurship support, and youth leadership development, the programme equips young people with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities needed to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to positive social change.

Project Objectives

  • Strengthen career planning and future aspirations among adolescents and youth.
  • Improve access to higher education, vocational training, and decent employment opportunities.
  • Enhance entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. 
  • Build youth leadership, life skills, peer networks, and community engagement.
  • Strengthen partnerships that connect youth with education, skills, and employment systems

Key Components


  • Career Guidance and Education Support: Career counselling, mentoring, scholarships, career exploration, and personalized career development planning.
  • Skills Development and Employability: Vocational, digital, life skills, and job-readiness training aligned with labour market needs.
  • Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment: Entrepreneurship development, financial literacy, business planning, and enterprise support for aspiring young entrepreneurs. 
  • Youth Leadership and Participation: Leadership development, youth networks, peer learning, volunteerism, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Employment Linkages: Internships, apprenticeships, employer partnerships, career fairs, and job placement support. 

Key Activities

Conduct career guidance and career exploration workshops; provide vocational, digital, and life skills training; organize entrepreneurship and financial literacy programmes; offer scholarships, mentoring, internships, apprenticeships, and job placement support; facilitate employer engagement and youth networking events; promote volunteerism and leadership development; and strengthen linkages between youth, training institutions, employers, and government programmes. 

Target Beneficiaries

The project directly supports 109 adolescents and youth (15–24 years), particularly girls and young people from economically disadvantaged and marginalized communities. Indirect beneficiaries include families, educational institutions, employers, community organizations, and local communities.

  • Karnataka: Sarjapur and Chickjala 
  • Delhi: Jahangirpuri, Uttam Nagar, Rangpuri, and Seemapuri

  • January 2026 – December 2026 (One-year Project)

Partners/Supporters

The Good Neighbors Global Youth Program is implemented by Good Neighbors Bharat in partnership with EFICOR, with financial support from the Global Foundation of Good Neighbors. The project is implemented in collaboration with vocational and skills training institutes, educational institutions, employers, industry partners, community-based organizations, and local government stakeholders to strengthen youth employability, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.

  • Young people develop clear career aspirations and informed career plans.
  • Adolescents and youth acquire market-relevant technical, digital, and life skills that improve their employability.
  • Increased access to higher education, vocational training, internships, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities. 
  • Young entrepreneurs strengthen their financial literacy and establish sustainable income-generating activities.
  • Youth demonstrate increased leadership, confidence, and active participation in community development initiatives.
  • Strong partnerships between training institutions, employers, and communities create sustainable pathways for youth education, employment, and economic empowerment
